It is cheaper to buy a new complete gun, than to upgrade the original generation to the new Plaintum Series. Plus you will have all new parts that will accept the new upgrades. November 2012. This receiver half has the newer matte finish and is milled for the newer push sear setup. It works with all NON ACT internals. If your gun has the pull style sear, you'll need to do an upgrade. In some manuals the number for the Left Receiver is given as 98C-01L. That number is for the 98 Custom Left Receiver and it will not work on the Custom Pro. This Left Receiver (TA05101) is the correct receiver for the Custom Pro. It has a black dust finish.
