Wrap the threads of gas line fittings to make them air tight.

Tippmann Parts Staff Advice:

Thread tape is the best way to seal gauges and other 1/8th inch NPT thread from braided lines.

Reasons this might not be needed: Many newer guns are assembled with self sealing fittings. In paintball, thread tape is mainly used on the 1/8th inch fittings.
